60th Faenza Prize 2018

International Biennial of Contemporary Art Ceramics

The sixtieth edition of the Faenza Prize, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Ceramics Competition, inaugurated in 1938, was conceived as a curatorial exhibition, by invitation only, that exhibited the best of current artistic research.  For the occasion, it was decided to suspend the competition, in favour of a reflection on the meaning of ceramic sculptural research and the perspectives of contemporary ceramics.

17 international curators, from different backgrounds, but with important experience in contemporary ceramic art, have selected 54 artists, among internationally renowned masters and young talents, with the aim of offering a panorama of the state of the international ceramic art today, not only sculpture but also, and above all, installation and performance projects.
