I create and produce works in the motif of animal skeletons, featuring “decorations.” I accentuate characteristics of every bone by reference to patterns and emblems, and I make designs of the works with the outlines in mind. Then, I draw up the designs on paper templates. Handcrafted techniques are used in the process of forming, glazing, and burning the works, and I assemble the parts into skeletons. By applying the growth of the accumulating designs to the motif, I would like to express the power of the decorations.

My image of decorations is like a world view where something between life and death such as temples and churches with excessive decorations exists. Also, such decorations give us the impression that the essence is camouflaged. For example, as to food, the death of animals is camouflaged by packaging or decorating it, which allows us to avoid facing the nature directly. At the same time, I suppose that it is modern.
