The earthenware Ferrari

In questo lavoro combino il mestiere antico con lo status symbol più lussuoso della società moderna, una Ferrari rossa. Su un’auto Ferrari il rivestimento rosso lucido ha il solo scopo di sedurre il consumatore. Qui, però, l’inaspettata combinazione di puro artigianato con l’apice del consumismo capitalista, sfida lo spettatore a riflettere sull’equilibrio tra tradizione e progresso.

In this work I combine the old metier with the most luxurious status symbol of modern society, a red Ferrari. On a Ferrari car the glossy red coating is merely meant to seduce the consumer. Here, however, the unexpected combination of pure craftsmanship with the pinnacle of capitalist consumerism, challenges the spectator to reflect upon the balance between tradition and progress.
