The Head I (from the cycle Spaces)

Asking about space and about what it is, I don’t ask about its physical dimension. It is a question about the unknown inherent between the boundaries of form. Particular elements of the composition – the truss, which is an indicator of an area and sculptural elements which fill it – are of equal value. Together they evoke a situation which allows space to exist. A situation which is not concerned with an object, or perceiving a subject, but with what is between – the space.
