Materia e tecnica: Limoges porcelain

Tecnica: Fired at 1240 °C in an electric kiln. The slabs are hand rolled and then I cut the porcelain sheet in geometric forms, Mostly I make my designs in cardboard first. The surface-relief is pressed into the thin sheet of porcelain clay with the help of a cardboard - mould. After the firing I have to assemble the different elements by gluing them. The coloured lines in some of my works are glazed with a combination of frit and body staines. The little cube is slab built and the circle is glued into the little cube. If you put this piece in front of a source of light (for exemple: you put it in front of a window or a lamp) the surface- relief gets more clear because the porcelain sheet becomes translucent.
