Material: Bendigo stoneware fired to 1200 °C with barium matt glaze. Metal is added to support the keys and to give additional strength to the place. The vertical and horizontal is something that fasinates me with intersecting lines given by the keys. Sgraffito is a means to relief and expression on a two dimensional surface. The slip used on thes piece is a kaolin 110 which gives a very withe backdrop on which to work.
Technique: The place is made using slab, wheel and mould. This piece was reduced and then reoxidized.
