I want to find the possibility of ceramic art as one techinque for modern art, don’t want to shut only in “the ceramic art” field. Now, in the modern art, expression technique called “mixed media” or “multimedia” is used as ordinaly technique. When I think ceramic art comparing to this, I can find characteristic of ceramic art. I can call it is “mono-media”.

Every art expression have two factors. First one is the incentive factor, like information. It will come from outside of artist. And second one is from inside of artist – he will find when get skilled about his technique. The strong point of ceramic art’s “mono-media” characteristic is having these two factors in good balance, especially having the second factor.

I make my work by hand coiling, sometimes with the sence of improvisation. This thecnique is more simple way than the other ceramic artist’s. The reason why I select such a simple technique is because I want to express about strength of “technique of ceramic art” which I said on the foregoing, on the core of my art expression.
