Starting at the form of a vessel, I find it fascinating to push the material further and further by exploring structures and patterns.
To produce the structure, threads are immerse in fluid porcelain and arranged one by one on a plaster model. After a period of drying the finished network is easily separated from the plaster. In the fire the threads burn completely and leave the remaining porcelain network. The structure of the cord remains and gives the cordporcelain its identity. The objects are stable, despite of their lightness.
