Materia e tecnica: 6000 low fire hand rolled clay curves. Like snowflakes or blades of grass the curves are similar but no two are exactly alike. Low fire glaze fired to cone 05. Hand painted with acrylic stain. There is no inner structure holding the curves. The curves interweave through a process of adding curves 1 by 1 into the endless negative space created by the curves until the sculpture is the desired size and shape. Because the sculptures are constructed with a curve they are strong and stable once they are built.
Tecnica: The loose 6,000 curves are packed in layers in 10 boxes weighing approximately 35 pounds per box. The boxes of yellow curves are stored in Germany. The sculpture is an installation which would be built in the exhibition space so I would have to come and install the sculpture. De-installing the sculpture is easy and anyone can do it quickly.

6,000 hand rolled clay curves. I work with a simple elemental form, a curve. The geometry of a curve allows construction. Searching for a harmony of form and color I build formal abstract shapes evocative of natural forms . Like everything in nature the sculptures are transitory existing in a given time and place.
